OCD

Living with OCD can feel like being seized by relentless intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that, like a dog with a bone, refuse to let go. In an effort to ease the distress, one feels driven to act—to check, repeat, neutralize, or avoid. Though these may bring momentary relief, it only strengthens the cycle, leaving one caught in a relentless loop of fear, exhaustion, and shame.

In therapy, we will work together to gently but directly interrupt that cycle. Through a process called exposure with response prevention, you'll learn to face the fears and distressing thoughts while resisting the pull to respond with further compulsions or mental rituals. This helps you learn through real life experience that anxiety can lessen on its own.

If OCD has been draining your energy, stealing your time, relationships, or possibly your whole life, you don't have to endure alone. With a compassionate, expert approach, backed by over 30 years of experience, I will work with you to release the unrelenting grip of obsessions and compulsions. Rather than being ruled by what your mind compels you to do, you'll have the freedom to live and choose according to what you want and value. Call, text, or email me today.
